Lyric Brass announce New Season
The Lyric Brass are excited to announce their new season in partnership with Carroll Community College. "The nice thing about a residency is that you get to program music that you really believe in," says LBQ manager Andrew Spang, who also plays tuba with the ensemble. "It's music that might not fit on a more commercial recital, but that we are convinced our audiences will enjoy." The Lyric Brass will perform three recitals at CCC over the next academic year. We are settling on a delivery system now for online ticket sales. Stay tuned for more information on ways to purchase tickets to your favorite brass quintet's shows!
LBQ provide Educational Clinic
The members of the Lyric Brass Quintet appeared as clinicians at the Howard County Music Teacher Fall In-Service. Howard County Middle School Band Directors were treated to a brief recital and then a question-and-answer session with the players about developing tone in the young brass musician. Equipment, exercises and embouchures were discussed and demonstrated by the individual players, and typical problems addressed. Interested in having the Lyric Brass provide a clinic in your educational community? Contact us to help craft a presentation most appropriate for your unique situation. We have presented and performed at the MENC All Eastern Convention and the MMEA Maryland Music Educator Association State Conference.
